Afbestilling og afbestillingsomkostninger

Ifølge EU-lovgivningen har du ikke fortrydelsesret i forhold til bookingen, men det er muligt at afbestille bookingen til enhver tid og af hvilken som helst grund ved at følge instruktionerne på vores webside. Du vil få tilbagebetalt det fulde beløb, hvis du afbestiller mere end 7 dage før den anførte afhentningsdato.

• Hvis du afbestiller mindre end 7 dage før, men senest 24 timer inden den anførte afhentningsdato, vil vi tilbagebetale bookingens fulde beløb, fratrukket det mindste af: i) den fulde pris af bookningens totalomkostninger; og ii) DKK 200.
• Annullerer du en reservation inden for 24 timer før afhentningstidspunktet, afkræves du enten reservationens fulde pris eller maks. 500 DKK, hvad end der er mindst.
Tilbagebetalingen vil ske til det kredit- eller hævekort, der blev anvendt ved bookingen.

Alamo forbeholder sig ret til at annullere en booking til enhver tid på berettiget grundlag, herunder, men ikke begrænset til: force Majeure, der påvirker tilgængelighed af køretøjer, grov tilsidesættelse af lejeaftale, herunder manglende betaling af leje, chikane eller anden krænkende adfærd overfor Alamos ansatte eller kunder, ansatte eller kunder hos Alamos datterselskaber, licenshavere eller franchisetagere eller ulovlige aktiviteter. I tilfælde af sådan annullering vil vi tilbagebetale bookingomkostningen.

Ændring
Sørg venligst for at dato og tidspunkter er korrekt indtastede, når du booker dit køretøj. Hvis der sker ændringer i dine forhold, og du har brug for køretøjet på en anden dato eller andet tidspunkt, så bedes du venligst ændre bookingen.
Det er muligt at ændre reservationen online indtil 12 timer før det anførte afhentningstidspunkt ved at følge instruktionerne på vores webside. Vi opkræver ikke et ændringsgebyr, men den nye booking vil blive til den gældende markedspris. Det er ikke muligt at ændre en booking, når der er mindre end 12 timer til afhentningstidspunktet.

Udeblivelse, sen eller tidlig ankomst

Ved booking andre steder end lufthavne – Dit køretøj vil være tilgængeligt i 2 timer efter det anførte afhentningstidspunkt. Herefter kan vi ikke garantere, at et køretøj vil være tilgængeligt, når du ankommer.
For booking i lufthavne – Hvis du har indtastet et flynummer på din booking, vil køretøjet være tilgængeligt, indtil flyet er landet og clearet. Hvis en flyforsinkelse er skyld i, at du ankommer efter udlejningsstedets lukketid, vil en ansat vente, til flyet er landet og clearet. Hvis forsinkelsen er mere end en time udover udlejningsstedets lukketid, vil et gebyr for service uden for åbningstid muligvis blive opkrævet. Hvis du ikke har indtastet et flynummer på din booking, vil køretøjet være tilgængeligt indtil 2 timer efter det anførte afhentningstidspunkt eller indtil lukketid, alt efter hvilket tidspunkt der er det tidligste.
Hvis du ankommer 1 dag eller mere inden datoen, der er anført på bookingen, er det valgte køretøj muligvis ikke tilgængeligt. Udlejningsstedet vil opfylde din booking med det valgte køretøj, når det er muligt.
Henter du ikke bilen på det aftalte tidspunkt, forbeholder vi os retten til at opkræve en betaling svarende til reservationens fulde pris eller maks. 500 DKK, hvad end der er mindst. Møder du ikke op, genindsættes beløbet på dit kreditkort, minus ovenstående gebyr.

Cross Border Policy

Renters wishing to visit Nicaragua must prearrange at time of rental, for a vehicle exchange at the Costa Rica/ Nicaragua border. A three (3) day minimum notice is required. Customers can only rent the following vehicles: MCMR, CCMR & CFMR. Upon vehicle exchange at the border, the original agreement is closed and a second rental agreement is issued by Alamo Nicaragua (same rate is applied). A vehicle exchange fee totaling $50 USD is assessed; $25 charged by Costa Rica when the original agreement is closed plus $25 charged by Nicaragua when the new agreement is opened. When the renter returns to Costa Rica, the same process applies plus an additional $50 exchange fee. Renters not planning to return to Costa Rica must notify the rental location in Costa Rica when prearranging the vehicle exchange.

Delivery / Collection

Free delivery /collection to/from hotels within 20 kms. of rental office. Anything outside of 20 kms. will be subject to a charge depending of how far the hotel is from the closest Alamo station. The charge may range from $20-$150 USD. Pick-up & Drop off is also available during general business hours.There are no pick-up or returns after normal operating hours. Free airport pick-up/drop-off between the San Jose International Airport and the city of Alajuela. Free airpot pick-up/drop-off between the Liberia International Airport to nearby Alamo location.

Insurance Excess

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW), THEFT PROTECTION (TP) & PRIMARY LIABILITY INSURANCE (PLI) - This is a combined product in Costa Rica (Mandatory unless customer's credit card has coverage). Collision Damage Waiver/Theft Protection (CDW-TP) includes Primary Liability Insurance (PLI). CDW/TP is mandatory unless renter's credit card has CDW coverage. in this case, PLI must be purchased because credit coverage does not cover PLI. Proof of credit card coverage is required. $15 USD Per Day on car groups: MCMR, ECMR, CCMR, CCAR, ICMR, CFMR, IFMR, SFMR & SFAR$20 USD per day on car groups:FFMR, FFAR, MVAR/IVAR & FVMR.$25 USD per day on car group: PFMR & PFAR CDW-TP DEDUCTIBLE TP $2,000 USD. If CDW/TP is declined, renter is responsible for the full value of the vehicle. DEDUCTIBLE PROTECTION (Optional) $15 USD per day. Deductible Protection (DP) reduces renter's CDW/TP deductible to $0. PRIMARY LIABILITY INSURANCE (PLI) (Mandatory if CDW-TP is declined) $10 USD per day. If a client declines CDW/TP, it is mandatory that they purchase Primary Liability Insurance (PLI). PLI covers Ambulance Service, Doctors, Hospitalization and Nurses for third parties with a maximum limit of $175,000 USD per event, or $70,000 USD per person.The PLI deductible is 20% of total damages to the third party property. PLI is valid in Costa Rica only.

License Requirements

Full and Valid Driver's License from country of origin. Should your driving license not be resident to the country of origin of your booking we reserve the right to charge an appropriate rate for your country of residence.

One Way Rentals

A $50.00 USD drop charge is applied to one-way rentals from city to city.

Out of Hours Policy

After hours servce is available at some locations. Client must pre-arrange pick up or return of vehicle by booking in advance. Alamo Costa Rica will operate normal business hours and will not observe bank and public holidays.

Payment Policy

A passport in addition to a credit card, with available credit and in the renter's name, must be presented. The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card presented by renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction.

Credit Cards honored: American Express®, MasterCard®, VISA®, Diners Club®

An authorization on the credit card in the amount of $1000 or $2000 (in case customer takes only mandatory coverages) will be taken at the time of rental. This authorization amount may be used toward damages of vehicles or late charges.

Debit/check cards are considered to be any non-credit card American Express®, MasterCard®, VISA®, Diners Club®, Discover® logo. Debit/Check cards are not accepted at this location.

Cash is not acccepted at this location.


Refuelling Policy

Pick up and return full or surcharge of 50% above local fuel charges will apply. It is also possible to pre-pay a tank of gas at 5% less than the price of gas stations.

Roadside Assistance

24 Hour: Contact nearest location within Costa Rica during office hours. Client can also contact the Corporate Headquarters @ 506-242-7878 during office or 800-National for afterhours service. In the case of an accident, customer must complete a police report at time of incident.

Special Equipment

Child/Toddler seats/infant seats:$6.00 USD/day. $60 replacement fee for equipment that is damages or not returned.GPS: $12 USD/day available at all locations. Replacement fee of $350.00 USD if the GPS is damaged or not returned

Surcharges

13% Airport Fee at San Jose Intl. Airport (Contracted rates may include the Airport fee.) $1.50 per day License Plate Fee (Contracted rates may include the License Plate Fee.) $0.40 per day Environmental Fee (Contracted rates may include the Environmental Fee).

Tax

Exchange rate is approximately 560 Colons = $1 USD (fluctuating on a regular basis)
